ASSIGNMENT

After a hiring freeze and a 20% reduction in the number of employees, 800 high professionals from the IT, logistics and banking sectors were to be recruited each year.

Strategy

Andreas Tenkmann took over the function of Director Recruiting EMEA and developed a highly effective employer branding and recruiting strategy. He was responsible for the following:

  • The Europe-wide implementation of Taleo (recruitment system).
  • BPO outsourcing of the application receipt and pre-selection processes to ACCESS – Kelly (Germany).
  • Introduction of career days as a standard recruiting process for applicants from universities and technical colleges.
  • Use of Internet and vodcasts as HR marketing media to improve the employer brand.

Result

The company jumped up 50 places on the scale of the most interesting employers in Germany (Universum study). Up to 800 high-level professionals were hired per year in Europe. PR was used to push the brand as an employer at low cost.
