ASSIGNMENT

An acquired company (German MSE) with about 220 stores in Germany, Austria and the Netherlands needs to be integrated into a global fashion company.

Strategy

Andreas Tenkmann took over the process management on behalf of HR, steered the negotiations with the works councils and became involved as an ambassador between the cultures (global; American, Dutch; German MSE). His areas of responsibility included:

  • Organizational development of e-commerce, IT, marketing, finance, logistics and human resources departments
  • Design of the future legal entity structure (with special focus on co-determination) and initiation of business transfers
  • Mediation between German MSE and global business culture
  • Employee retention through a Stay Bonus Program for employees in managerial positions
  • Conducting negotiations with the works council, in particular for the relocation of the warehouse and the business transfers between the legal entities
  • Harmonization of HR processes with regard to approval procedures, guidelines and regulations, talent management and training

RESULT

A successful integration was achieved; today the organization implements the same HR principles while doing business under various brands. The targeted revenues and EBIT targets were achieved.
